About
I’m a classically trained dancer with over 30 years of movement experience and a Pilates instructor trained in the Balanced Body system. My work is grounded in deep physical training, careful observation, and an understanding of how precise, sustained effort builds strength from the inside out.
I trained as a professional dancer in New York City and spent more than two decades performing, teaching, and developing work within the contemporary dance and performance world. My training includes the Merce Cunningham Studio Professional Training Program, where I studied as a scholarship student, along with extensive study in ballet, modern, and contemporary movement practices. That background shapes how I teach Pilates: with clarity, rigor, and respect for the intelligence of the body.
My sessions are fully individualized and intentionally challenging. I work with beginners, experienced practitioners, young dancers, athletes, performing artists, older adults, and people navigating pregnancy, postpartum, or recovery. The work asks for focus and commitment. Through careful sequencing and progressive load, clients build control, coordination, and a strong mind body connection without unnecessary strain.
I’m fluent in English and Spanish and known for a teaching style that is attentive, direct, and discreet. Clients often seek me out for focused, one-on-one work that values depth over speed and consistency over shortcuts.
